Staff Attend the Coffee Expo

Last month, Hannah, Kaley, and Lindsay traveled to Houston, TX to attend the annual Specialty Coffee Expo put on by the Specialty Coffee Association! Coffee Roasters, Baristas, Cafe Owners, and thousands of coffee professionals from around the world gathered to attend workshops, explore new products, and taste what other people have been brewing! 

The expo hosted competitions such as the World Coffee Roaster competition, best cafe 'space', best product, and best product packaging. There was a lot to learn and a lot of amazing people to meet to gather inspiration for Cabra! One of the highlights of the expo was getting to attend a roasting workshop at Greenway Coffee Company Roastery with Scott Rao, author of coffee and roasting guidebooks such as Coffee Roasting: Best Practices. We were given a lot of good tips on how to improve our new coffee, and also made some great connections with other roasters.
